"Shadow was a special, special girl whom we all feel honored to have shared our lives with. She always greeted and charmed visitors as only she could. Calm, cool, and collected with great intelligence and problem solving ability, style, grace, and a serious, focused retriever, she lives on in her children and grandchildren. She was very typey with a head like her grandfather Ruffy, with kind knowing eyes, great movement, and lots of bone. She was always stoically quiet and methodical. She was our teacher dog for pups who all adored her. She was very much loved by everyone and will always be sorely missed. Most of all she was our perfect friend and companion."
